Looks like we’ve got a break from the storm. It’s cold and windy but the sky is clear. I can’t say the same for the beach. A wide swath of driftwood and other debris extends the entire length of the beach. Large tree trunks are included in the wood.
I was wrong! That wasn’t my boyfriend in that picture. Apparently the Search and Rescue team was so busy handling other calls in our area in harder to find places that the LA and possibly the Santa Barbara teams mainly helped out on the slide.
This picture was taken during the drive out to one of the calls. A few rescues were made and folks evacuated. One lady was stranded on top of the park restrooms.
